In the Dark About Jesus?
Christianity 101 is a fifteen week course that covers the basic teachings of the Bible. Any and all are welcome to attend including:
- Those curious about what makes Lutherans different than others.
- Those who have little or no background in Christianity.
- Lifelong Christians who want a refresher course.
You might have bitter memories of organized religion, you might be skeptical that the Bible has anything useful to offer, or you might be looking to grow in your Christian faith and knowledge. Christianity 101 is the class for you. It may be that you have never heard Christianity explained like Lutherans explain it (hint: Christianity is NOT all about what you need to do for God; it is about what He has already done for you).
Our pastors will not offer their opinions about what God might or might not say. They teach the Bible as God’s inspired and error-free Word. By the end of the class, each participant will have gained a working knowledge of the Bible – its history and accounts and how they fit together, and especially what Jesus has done to save all sinners through His perfect life, death, and resurrection.
If you are interested in this class, please contact the church office. Typically, classes are offered each Spring and Fall, but they are occasionally offered at other times as well.
