Sunday School is on a temporary hiatus until we are able to meet again in larger groups.
Why Sunday School?
The Proverb says, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it” (22:6). Parkland Lutheran is glad to help parents with this!
Besides the Christian education that takes place each weekday in our grade school, we also offer Sunday School every Sunday from Labor Day to Memorial Day. This is offered in the time period between the 8:00 & 10:30 worship services. The children (PreK-8th grade) meet in the back of the church at 9:15 am for a short devotion and then follow their teachers to the classroom for lessons and activities until 10:15 am.
Sunday School is a wonderful way for children to learn the teachings of the Bible and to be reminded of Jesus’ love for them. This song is a favorite of the children:
I am Jesus’ little lamb,
Ever glad at heart I am,
For My Shepherd gently guides me,
Knows my need, and well provides me,
Loves me ev’ry day the same,
Even calls me by my name.
