Dates and Times:
Sunday, July 12th, at 4:00 pm through Saturday, July 18th, at 9:00 am. For insurance reasons, early arrivals and dismissals are not allowed. Camper registration runs from 4:00-6:00 pm on Sunday, July 12th.
Location and Amenities:
Camp 4 Star is held at the environmental learning center in Millersylvania State Park. The park is located on Deep Lake, about twelve miles south of Olympia. The center boasts a private swimming beach, dining hall with a well-equipped kitchen, large fire pit with bench seating, 16 camper cabins, 3 staff cabins, and separate boy and girl restrooms.
Camp Staff:
Camp director, registered nurse, class instructors, song leader, activity leader, lifeguard, cooks (all with food handling permits from the Department of Health), and camp counselors. Staff members are full-time Christian volunteers.
Activities:
Bible study and topic discussion, singing, arts and crafts, swimming, boating, fishing, soccer, softball, volleyball, archery, Camp Olympics, campfires, evening games, award night, and evening devotions.
Cost:
One child $200
Two or more from same family $170 each
Children of staff members $145 each
(Includes housing, food, supplies, equipment use, and insurance)
One Camp 4 Star T-shirt is provided for each registered camper in adult sizes S, M, L, or XL. Please select size on your application. Extra Camp 4 star T-shirts will be available at camp registration for $10 each.
2017 Application
Parking:
A Washington State Park representative may ask you to purchase a day use pass if you will be parking and waiting to get into the ELC before the gates are opened at 4:00pm on Sunday or 9:00am on Saturday. This is not a cost that Camp 4 Star will cover for those individuals arriving before the actual drop off or pick up times. Those who have a valid Discover Pass do not need the day use pass. Items to Bring:
- Bible, notebook, and pen/pencil
- Pillow and sleeping bag
- Flashlight
- Hangers and toiletries
- Sportswear, warm clothing, jacket/sweater
- (label all articles with your name)
- Swimsuit and towel
- Extra pair of shoes
Optional:
- Fishing gear
- Air mattress (mattress/cots provided)
- Up to $10 for canteen (soda, candy, and postage stamps)
Not Allowed (will be confiscated):
- All electronics, including cell phones, mp3 players, radios, CD/DVD players, hand-held games, etc.
- Tobacco/Alcohol/Drugs (medically necessary drugs must be left with the nurse)
- Guns/Knives (including fishing knives)
- Fireworks
