Mrs. Pauline Sundby is a Washington State certified teacher for elementary education. She is a Washington native, attending Faith Lutheran School (Tacoma, WA) and Parkland Lutheran School for elementary school, and graduating from Bethel High School (Graham, WA) in 1998. She received an Associate of Arts from Bethany Lutheran College in 2000. She worked in the business world for many years, before pursuing a long-held dream to go back to school to be a teacher. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Western Governor’s University in 2024. Upon graduating, she accepted a call to teach Kindergarten at Parkland Lutheran School. She and her husband, Jim, have been married for 20 years. They have three children – Grace, Peter, and Norin – who have all attended PLS as students. Pauline has been a member of Parkland Lutheran Church for many years, as well as serving as the adult choir director. As you might imagine, PLS is very near and dear to her heart!
