Ms. Amiling grew up in Washington, where she attended Bethany Lutheran in Port Orchard for grade school and Evergreen Lutheran in Tacoma for high school. She attended Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato, Minnesota, where she quadruple majored before accepting her first teaching call to Parkland Lutheran School in 2023. She also serves as a chess coach.
