PARKLAND LUTHERAN POWER-HOUR
Power-Hour is a strong academic program for children ages 2-5, centered on a Bible-based curriculum. Our goal is for every child to know how special they are to their Savior, Jesus. Along with this truth, children will be given the opportunity to learn in a structured classroom environment with their caregiver readily available to help them discover learning concepts and experience new social settings inside a classroom. Through songs, crafts, and academic activities, watch your child grow in the knowledge of their Savior, as well as in academics! Classes meet Tuesdays, from 1:45pm to 2:45pm in the PLS Pre-K classroom, March 6 thru May 1. Cost is $25.00 per 2-5 year old ($5 discount for additional child in same household; younger siblings may attend at no cost). Register on the PLS website or in the school office today!

Power for Parenting is an extension of Power-Hour at no added cost. Childcare is provided for registered students during this optional 30 minute Bible study, to encourage caregivers in their vocation and the spiritual life of their home. Study is held immediately following Power Hour.

Needed: There are many activities and crafts during Power-Hour. If you are able to help supply any of the items listed below, it would be greatly appreciated! Items may be dropped off at the church or school office.

• Pint Size Glass Jars (with or without lids & rings)
• Unused Birthday/All Occasion Cards & Envelopes
• Fabric (5×5 squares of different textured fabrics)
• Unused Paint Sticks or Dowels

TELSS OLYMPICS
All students in grades 1 thru 8 are expected to participate in the TELSS Olympics on Friday, May 4. This is an annual track & field event day. It is each parent’s responsibility to not only provide transportation, but also supervision during the day. If you are not able to attend, please let your child’s teacher know who will be responsible for your child at the event.

The time has come to complete the forms to request access onto JBLM for the TELSS Olympics. You must register every person who is over the age of 16 that will be in your car. The names must match exactly with the information you put on the form, including middle names. These forms are due back by Friday, February 23. If you will have more than 3 in your car over the age of 16, there are extra forms available in the school office.
