Evergreen Lutheran High School

Parkland Lutheran School supports Evergreen Lutheran High School (ELHS), and is a member school of the The Evergreen Lutheran School System (TELSS) in the Pacific Northwest. Evergreen Lutheran is a Christian high school located in Tacoma, Washington. They offer a nationally accredited educational program. Their athletes compete in the 1B division of schools from the state of Washington. Evergreen Lutheran High School is a part of the fourth largest private school system in America – the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS) and the Evangelical Lutheran Synod (ELS).

The Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS) and the Evangelical Lutheran Synod (ELS) have a rich tradition of academic excellence in its Pre-School through Grade 12 school system. The WELS and ELS have operated highly regarded schools across the United States, the Caribbean, Korea, Ukraine, Czech Republic, and the Amazon jungle of Peru, and elsewhere in the world for over 150 years. Currently, WELS and ELS churches and associations operate 407 early childhood centers, 355 elementary schools, and 26 high schools across the nation.

Both the Wisconsin and Evangelical Synods have provided excellent instructors to these schools by training its own teachers since 1884. It is gratifying to report that, on average, students attending WELS/ELS schools annually tend to outperform their peers by a considerable margin on national achievement tests. We humbly thank God for His blessings upon our schools.

Evergreen Lutheran is proud to continue this rich tradition of academic excellence in the Pacific Northwest! They are committed to offering a quality, Christ-centered education which prepares God’s children to serve him now and forever. You are welcome to stop by their campus, located at 7306 Waller Road East, Tacoma, WA any time. Their office is open or call for an appointment 253-946-4488.
